Recently we had a bug that crashed the server, as well as web host changes.
After the change we still did not change the sub-domain which caused connection issues to the server, although that was fixed... we encountered another problem with the actual server.
It is fixed now, and I am VERY SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE TO ALL PLAYERS!
When I will put up new updates in-game, I will send an email blast as well a put up a forum post about them.
Very soon I will be free to work on the game, and hopefully, i'll be able to finish the world map before summer and add PLENTY of new content and start an advertising campaign thanks to the donations we received for the game!
Hi everyone, just a quick update on the website status.
I completed a transfer of the Everember website to a new host as of 11:15pm EST. The website is now active and should run much smoother. If you notice any errors throughout the website/something that looks funny or out of place, please either PM me or comment on this post.
During the transfer, there was an issue with TaigaChat. I will be working on a solution for it. In the meantime, it is currently disabled.
You may also notice that URLs are not 'friendly' as they used to be. Example: instead of everember.com/forum/ it is now everember.com/index.php?forum/. This will be fixed shortly.
Well, I wanna wish you guys happy april fools day!
I also wanna tell you that we are moving websites...
Sadly... we cant own the Everember.com anymore, so we moved to http://harlemify.com/?url=everember.com
We will have to use that website.
As most of you should know I told I was gonna try ripping the Event System from EO, and so I did, the version I ripped from was EO3.0 because it's supossed to have new features and less bugs than the 2.3.
The hardest part of this was probably the graphical/rendering part since 3.0 used dx8 while EE uses dd7, and for that I had to change lots of the rendering functions and take some of the actions of the event system (like flash, fade in, fade out).
The second hardest part was to rewrite the way the events are saved, in EO3.0 they saved them in a .ini file with the mapnumber, but I'm kinda perfectionist so I had to change some of the code so it would be saved in the normal map .dat file.
The rest of the ripping was just normal difficulty I guess, and I also had to add some stuff that were missing
What's the point of adding this system ? Well, it will enable EverEmber to have kinda what I'd call scripted-kinda events, like cutscenes, bridges, walls that dissapear activating a...
